Jacksonville Sheriff's Office Facilities to Be Closed for Police Memorial Day
In observance of Police Memorial Day, Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office publicly accessible buildings will be closed on Friday, May 8, 2026.
Closures include:
- District 1 Substation, 5258-13 Norwood Avenue
- District 2 Substation, 9119 Merrill Road
- District 3 Substation, 8875 Liberty Ridge Drive, Suite 110
- District 4 Substation, 3726 Blanding Boulevard
- District 5 Substation, 1767 Kings Road
- District 6 Substation, 1680 Dunn Avenue
- Police Memorial Building, 501 East Bay Street
Continued Operations:
- The Patrol Division and the Communications Center will continue to operate as normal. Citizens may call the non-emergency number at 904.630.0500 for police service and are reminded to call 911 if the situation would constitute an emergency.
- Visitation of inmates at applicable corrections facilities will continue, and the Property Room will remain open for citizens needing to recover property.
All JSO offices and publicly available buildings will resume normal operating hours on Monday, May 11, 2026.
